On this day:

Transperformance Guitar System... Now This is Really Cool...

For my fellow guitar players out there I ran across this on another site and was immediately dumbfounded... I never thought this would ever become reality since the days of when Tom Sholz of Boston (the Band) and Sholz Research & Development, Inc. (makers of the Rockman and other devices) was trying to come up with a way to electronically compensate for a Guitar String that was out of tune during a performance... Needless to say he never did...

Well along comes Transperformance with a Guitar System that along with a computer and small motors for each string can with the touch of a pad tune your guitar to any tuning you want in a matter of seconds... It's not cheap but you could use one guitar during the gig and never have to switch to one with another tuning... Read more... Here's a video with Graham Nash introducing the System then Dave Beegle of the band Fourth Estate doing a nice live Demo... Watch the Video here...

Now if I only had the kinda of money that thing must cost I'd have one of my guitars fitted with it and having all the fun in the world... hahaha

Even Gramps likes it....

Speaking of guitars I also ran across this site for Ergonomic Guitars... Read More...

Guess I better include this one also... Volkswagen is now giving away a Guitar with your auto purchase... Hmmm... Anyways the Guitar has the Volkswagen Logo & the "VIN Number" of your car on it and you can play it through the cars audio system... I can see it now, all the beaches in california will now have more noise pollution than air pollution simply because of all the "Wanna Be" Heavy Metal, or Punk Guitar Players trying to impress all the cute girls lying around getting a tan... Read more...

Not that anyone would use this but here it is... The 6 Sided Harmonica...

A little Gaming for ya... Gamerscoreblog...

More later...

Comments:
Think they make them for basses? That would be really cool too.

It's quite possible they will make a version for Bass...

It's a fascinating bit of technology if somewhat impractical - the system costs $3399 for installation in a Les Paul and $3899 for installation in a Strat. I looked on their site but saw no mention of a bass model.

And, thank you for mentioning my blog, Building The Ergonomic Guitar in your post! Please stop by my blog again!

Your welcome Robert I really like your site...

And if you're a guitar god you can have it change tunings in the middle of a song and have it sound good!
