Just read this over at GameSpot (Clicky, GameSpot)... Well I guess you can use the old game cd's for "Skeet Shooting" or something... But then again it's only a *Rumor* so far...
I think SONY is going to have it's hands full now that there are Reported Trojans and Viruses in the wild using their DRM Rootkit...As you can read about courtesy The Register & courtesy YAHOO News ... I'm wondering if this Technology will be(is) employed in the New PS3??... If so that's not a plus for SONY either and could hurt sales from the get go...
Well guess what?... We are going to be spending more Hard Earned Cash on Rootkit Detectors to again keep ourselfs safe from these newest threats...
Who's to Blame for all this???... Hard to tell... You could Blame Microsoft for not being in *The Security Business* from Day One or maybe Blame the Virus Software Companies since alot of rumors suggest they may be paying people to write these things...
As me for?, I have no Clue at All who and why is doing this, but it just opens up another Product Line for the Virus Companies with a New Product all of us are going to need...
Of course they will prolly give a deluted version to home users for free but if you want Full Protection you'll have to pay a tiddy sum of *YOUR Money* for it...
Oh well...
