On this day:
New Music on the Horizon and Some Gaming Stuff
I put in a request for some links to new and upcoming bands on some of the Music related websites and believe it or not. Not a day later I got a request to post a link for a band.. Now how cool is that?.. The name of our first band here on the site is: The Get Down .. On the homepage are also 4 links to samples of their music, so if I was you I would check them out here Song Samples.. I just finished listening to: Leave it on the Floor, the 4th track listed on the site.. Not bad at all guys!!!, coming from an old school fart like me..So if any of you are living within driving distance of these guys, I suggest you go and check out a live performance.. I think these guys will do pretty well in the future.. Also check out the Bio for the band.. Pretty interesting.. If Chad and the guys keep me updated on upcoming shows, I'll try to get them on the site in ample time for those that want to see them live..
In the weeks to come I hope to have more Bands for all to check out, depending on if they ever read my post on the forums.. hehe.. Which also means I guess one of these days I gotta start talking about my days on the road in the early, mid, late 70's & 80's.. Some of my friends at home thought I had it made, little did they know of all the crap that goes on when your a traveling band that has to try and make a living at doing what you love most.. Oh well, more on that later.
I was just reading an article over at Slashdot about Gamers titled: "Body's and Brains of Gamers Probed".. Kinda makes me wonder if maybe the Games themselfs are really "Playing US".. hahaha.. It's an interesting read for anyone that is well.. "Interested"..
So now for a break from the action while I do some more research for other things to Blog about tonight.. Don't forget to check out: "The Get Down"..
Seems I pulled up another XBOX site for the Game Site of the Day and my Archives have kicked in. So if you want to read stuff from last month, go down the left side of the site near the bottom and check out the Archives & -The Old Stuff-..
